6:34 pm - Makan time!

Indian rice? Green beans, ginger raisin rice and chicken tikka masala!
The discovery of the papadoms was brilliant - altho it was really expensive! Since then, i've found a place which sells cheaper ones! I miss the free flowing papadoms back home...

Was quite proud that i made some pretty good "siew yoke" - altho i can get the skin to be crispy enough. Any advice?

Ayam masak madu - all from a pack, tho!

Kurma chicken! :-P~

Almost lunch time here in Maine USA as I view your blog, my lunch is going to be pale compared to the dishes in your pixs. Happy eating. BTW, I enjoy looking at your Brit pictures, my wife, son and I have been to GB three times and most of your photos are places we haven't been to.

thanks for the compliment. if u are ever in malaysia, i'll take u to try some really good chinese and indian food! that is if i'm in malaysia too!

all pics on this blog are taken in colchester - doubt many people would have come here for a visit... and wont really recommend it either! ;-)

if u look at the links on the top of the page, there's another photoblog of pics in London - that should look more familiar!

For crispy siew yoke skin, you have to make sure that the skin is super dry and seasoned with plenty of salt and ng heong fun before you send it for roasting (we basically left it in the fridge for coupla hours). That's what we did at our last bbq at the skin turned out to be a real crackle!
